Particle physics and a great website for starters

For some of you starters who are interested in particle physics, the plethora of books and online resources available on the topic might be a little overwhelming. Even some of the wikipedia articles covering the topic have some advanced areas that may be difficult to understand, i.e http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/standard_model . Therefore, I would like to recommend the following site for starters who wish to have a basic introductory foundation to the topic.

This award-winning site introduces particle mechanics such as The Standard Model, Accelerators and Particle Detectors etc. in a fun and interesting manner. The interactive tours are viewable at http://www.particleadventure.org/ .
